Throughout his life, Peruvian guitarist Daniel Galindo has been deeply influenced by music, starting in his childhood when he listened to his father play Andean music at home.

At 17, Daniel began his bachelor's degree at the National Conservatory of Music in Lima, graduating with honors thanks to a scholarship from the Peruvian Ministry of Education. He then pursued a master’s degree in music performance at the Hochschule für Musik Würzburg, supported by a scholarship from the Hanns Seidel Foundation.

Balancing research, performance, and composition, Daniel continuously explores various instrumental and vocal formats. He has composed and recorded music for film and theatre, such as Back in Bach (2020), participated in opera productions, such as Viktor Ullman’s Der Kaiser von Atlantis (2023), Händel’s Semele (2024) or Bach’s Weihnachtsoratorium (2025). He has recently played as a soloist the Concierto del Sur from Manuel María Ponce at the 35th edition of the Bad Brückenauer Gitarrentage (2024).

In 2019, the journal of musicology ANTEC published his paper on the guitar sonata Op. 77 Omaggio a Boccherini from Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco. In 2020, the German publishing house Musikverlag Acoustica released a collection of his compositions for guitar duo titled Lieder vom Reisen. Currently, Daniel is pursuing a PhD in Artistic Research at the the Franco-German doctoral program Collège Glarean.

Daniel lives since 2021 in Würzburg and plays on a guitar made by Jochen Röthel.
